Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of the LipsDirect website and any booking you make through it. Please read them carefully before you book — by requesting a quote, confirming a booking or otherwise using our platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.
1.Who we are
LipsDirect ("LipsDirect", "we", "us" or "our") is a UK-based marketplace that connects clients with independent, vetted aesthetic specialists who carry out treatments in the client's own home. We operate the website, take bookings, process payments and match each booking to a suitable specialist.
We are a company registered in England and Wales under Company No. 00000000 (registration to be confirmed). Our contact email is hello@lipsdirect.com. We do not operate a telephone line; all enquiries are handled by email so that we have a clear record of every request.
2.The marketplace model
LipsDirect operates as an introducer and booking platform. We do not carry out treatments ourselves. Every treatment is delivered by an independent aesthetic specialist who is self-employed and works on their own account.
Each specialist on our platform is:
- Vetted — identity-checked and reviewed for relevant qualifications and experience before they take bookings;
- DBS-checked — subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check;
- Insured — required to hold their own professional treatment and public liability insurance; and
- Qualified — where a treatment is a medical procedure, it is carried out by a suitably qualified medical professional.
Independent contractors, not employees. Specialists are not our employees, workers, agents or partners. They exercise their own clinical and professional judgement, and are individually responsible for the treatments they provide, for holding the correct qualifications, registrations and insurance, and for complying with all laws and professional standards that apply to their work.
Where these terms describe what will happen at your appointment, the specialist assigned to you provides that service directly to you. A separate treatment relationship is formed between you and your specialist for the delivery of the treatment; our role is to introduce you, take the booking and process payment.
3.Bookings & quotes
You start by entering your postcode and telling us what you would like to improve. We then recommend a treatment and show an all-inclusive price. A quote is an indication of price based on the information you give us; it is not a confirmed booking and does not guarantee availability.
A booking is only confirmed once we have:
- matched you to an available specialist for your chosen date and time;
- completed the suitability check described in section 6 (for treatments that require one); and
- sent you a written confirmation by email.
Until you receive that confirmation email, no contract for a treatment exists. We may decline or cancel a booking — for example if no suitable specialist is available in your area, if the suitability check indicates the treatment is not appropriate for you, or if the details you provided are incomplete or inaccurate. Where we cancel before treatment for a reason that is not your fault, any advance payment you have made will be refunded in full.
You must be at least 18 years old to book a treatment. By booking you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is true and complete.
4.Payment & pricing
All prices shown are all-inclusive of travel to your address within our UK service area. There are no hidden call-out fees, and consumables used during a standard treatment are included unless we clearly state otherwise before you book.
You can choose how to pay:
- Pay on the day — settle with your specialist at the appointment; or
- Pay in advance — pay online when you book and receive a discount, which is shown clearly at checkout before you confirm.
Advance payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details. Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where it applies. We may change our prices from time to time, but any change will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed.
Optional add-ons or upgrades offered at the time of booking are charged in addition to the treatment price and are shown separately before you confirm.
5.Cancellations, reschedules & no-shows
Rescheduling and cancelling
You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment start time. Just reply to your confirmation email or contact us at hello@lipsdirect.com and we will move or refund your booking.
Late changes
If you cancel or ask to reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, we may retain a reasonable amount to cover the specialist's reserved time and travel already committed. Where you have paid in advance, this may be deducted from any refund.
No-shows and access
If the specialist cannot gain access to your address at the booked time, if no adult aged 18 or over is present, or if the space is not safe or suitable to carry out the treatment (see section 7), the appointment may be treated as a no-show and the full price may become payable.
Rebook guarantee
Every booking is covered by our rebook guarantee: if we or your specialist need to cancel or cannot attend, we will offer you the earliest suitable alternative appointment at no extra cost, or a full refund of any advance payment if you would prefer not to rebook.
6.Suitability & medical disclaimer
Aesthetic treatments are cosmetic, and results vary from person to person. We cannot and do not guarantee any specific outcome. Any before-and-after examples, descriptions or reviews on our website are illustrative and are not a promise of the results you will achieve.
Treatments offered through LipsDirect include dermal filler, Profhilo and other skin boosters, polynucleotides, medical microneedling and medical-grade skin peels. Where a treatment is a medical procedure — including all injectables — it is carried out by a qualified medical professional and requires an in-person suitability consultation before your booking is confirmed and before you are treated.
The suitability check may ask about your medical history and any relevant conditions. Some conditions and circumstances mean a treatment may not be safe or suitable for you — for example (and not limited to) pregnancy or breastfeeding, a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants, certain skin conditions, active infection, or recent surgery. Your specialist may decline or stop a treatment on clinical grounds, and their professional judgement is final.
Nothing on our website is medical advice, and no doctor-patient relationship is created with LipsDirect. If you have any health concerns, or take regular medication, you should consult your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional before booking. In an emergency, always call 999.
7.Your responsibilities
Because treatments take place in your home, a safe and suitable environment is essential. When you book, you agree to:
- provide a clean, private, well-lit and reasonably clutter-free space with a suitable surface and access to a mains power socket;
- ensure the space is safe for the specialist to work in and free from hazards, including from pets that could interfere with the treatment;
- give full, honest and accurate information about your health, medical history and any relevant medication as part of the suitability check, and tell us or your specialist promptly of any change before treatment;
- be present and be aged 18 or over, and give the specialist safe access to your address at the booked time; and
- follow any reasonable pre-treatment and aftercare instructions your specialist gives you.
Providing inaccurate or incomplete health information can put your safety at risk and may mean a treatment cannot go ahead. We and your specialist rely on the information you give us.
8.Conduct & safety
Our specialists have the right to work in a safe and respectful environment. A specialist may decline to begin, or may stop and leave, a treatment if they reasonably consider the environment unsafe or unsuitable, if they are subjected to abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour, or if anyone present appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such cases the full price of the treatment may remain payable.
9.Liability
Treatments are provided directly by your independent specialist, who is responsible for the treatment they deliver and carries their own professional and public liability insurance. LipsDirect is responsible for operating the booking platform, matching you to a vetted specialist and processing payment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with any booking is limited to the price paid for that booking;
- we are not liable for loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or for any business, indirect or consequential loss; and
- we are not liable for the acts, omissions or clinical judgement of an independent specialist, save to the extent this results from our own failure to take reasonable care in vetting and matching.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10.Complaints
We want every appointment to go well. If something falls short — whether it concerns your booking, your specialist or the treatment itself — please email hello@lipsdirect.com with your booking reference and a description of the issue.
We aim to acknowledge every complaint within two working days and to resolve it as quickly as we reasonably can. Where a complaint concerns the clinical delivery of a treatment, we will liaise with the specialist and their insurer as appropriate, and we will keep you updated throughout.
11.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the treatments we offer, our processes or the law. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the date your booking is confirmed. We will always show the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
12.Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, although if you live in another part of the UK you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
13.How to contact us
For anything relating to your booking or these terms, email us at hello@lipsdirect.com. We handle all enquiries by email so that both you and we have a clear written record.
